What does God offer me?

Complete forgiveness of sins, the removal of all shame and guilt, and loving fellowship with Him that will go on forever, spiritual growth by becoming part of His earthly body, the Church, and purpose and fulfillment through meaningful service.  All of these are offered to everyone who will turn from a 'me centered' life to a life centered on God and His will.  We receive these gifts through faith in Jesus. Those who believe receive His Holy Spirit who guides us in God's plans and empowers us to carry them out.  

What can I do to escape the consequences of my sin?

You can't do anything.  If all your sins were forgiven at this moment they would quickly pile up again.  You should know how very concerned God is about the extensive record of your sins, but not simply because He is deeply offended by them.  Our sins have had a terrible impact: they have made intimate, loving fellowship with Him impossible. God's solution was to send His only Son, Jesus, to become an innocent sacrifice for our sins.  His death on the cross completely paid for the sins of all humanity, once and for all.  When He rose from the grave He defeated the evil axis called sin, death and the devil.
