Offerings

Each week the congregation has the opportunity to ‘worship God with their tithes and offerings’.  Giving is an important act of worship and is motivated by an awareness of how much God has first given us.  St. Paul wrote “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”(Romans 8:32)  It is God Who has given us the talents and abilities through which we can earn a living.  A heart genuinely touched by God’s love is not forced by a law to give but by the desire to express its gratitude.  “God loves a cheerful giver” St. Paul reminds us (2Corinthians 9:7).

All the missions and ministries at Calvary are supported by the generous gifts of her members.  From time to time representatives of the missions we support will share what God is doing in their ministry during worship.
