Men's Ministry

The Men’s Fellowship at Calvary is dedicated to support the church vision to
“Be a bridge connecting people to Jesus, His family and His ministry.”

We stand on three bedrock principles: Discipleship…Fellowship…Service

Discipleship

Jesus gave all men an exciting purpose statement when He instructed His followers to: “Go and make disciples of all nations…teaching them to observe all that I commanded you” We will be diligent to study God’s word and make it relevant to our lives through teachings and discussion. We also want to provide opportunity to bring friends and neighbors to share in our studies.

Fellowship

The Psalmist reminds us “How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity.” We want to be mentors to our kids and friends with each other. We seek opportunities to build relationships, share life experience, and enjoy common interests.

Service

Jesus set the example for service with his actions. He told the disciples that He came not be served, but to serve. He also instructed them that humble service demonstrated greatness in God’s kingdom. When Jesus washed His disciple’s feet, He showed the depth of personal humility our service would take. A man can show no greater love for another than to lay down His life for them. The men of Calvary are fully committed to serve our families, our church, and our communities.

Currently there are two men’s groups meeting regularly.  “Refired” is comprised of our retired members and guests who meet on the third Thursday of the month at 9:00 am for breakfast, study, and the important opportunity to connect with each other on a deeper level.  The evening fellowship is for all men of the congregation and friends of Calvary. It meets for dinner on the first Friday of the month at 6:00 pm and at other times for various activities.
